Holiday Baking time!

My family has a tradition of baking and assembling cookie plates to give out while caroling. It is such a fun tradition! Each family makes 2 or 3 types of cookies and then we meet at my moms to assemble the plates. We each get to pick a family or 2 we'd like to deliver cookies to and then off we go!

Addison helped me bake this year and we had such a great time! I love this little girl so much. :]

Like the apron? I won it at Bunco earlier this month and felt like this was just the reason to break it out! Ha.

We made 3 kinds of cookies/treats. I saw these little pretzel chocolate yummies on Sarah's blog and knew they needed to be added to our plates. They were a HUGE hit! I ended up making them 2 more times for family - everyone loved them! Thanks for sharing the recipe, Sarah!

Addy helping unwrap all the caramel kisses.

Yum, yum!!

This little blondie wandered in a for a taste as well. He approved. :]

I also made Oatmeal Butterscotch cookies that were tasty but my favorite ones were ...

Tangled!

Addison is on Christmas break and I wanted to make sure she had lots of fun while she was away from school. Addy has been dying to see Tangled so we planned a girls night to go see it! Well, Daddy decided he wanted to crash our girls night so we got a babysitter for Drew (He is not a good age for movies AT ALL) and headed to Westgate.

Lookie who Addison saw as soon as we walked in. She loved the Beib's.

The movie was adorable! We really enjoyed it! Lots of humor so the adults can laugh along with the kiddos.

Getting ready for the show!

Afterward, Addison wanted to get ice cream so we moseyed on over to Cold Stone. Only in AZ do you go for ice cream in the middle of December. Ha!

Cotton Candy with marshmallows and sprinkles for the little lady and cake batter ice cream with peanut butter cups for Mama.

Daddy & Addy

They have a beautiful tree up at Westgate. It is HUGE.

Sidenote: My bff since I was little got engaged over the weekend in front of this very tree! Awww!

Addy crashed in the car on the way home. I'll take that as a sign of approval for a night well spent. :]

A Social Network Christmas

I saw this on another blog and I loved it. What way to share the story of our Savior's birth!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Merry Christmas!

Sickie babe and Taco Pie!

This week before Christmas has been a doozy! And guess what? Not one day has been busy or chaotic because of Christmas. Ooh noo, that will be next week because I have only bought TWO presents.

Yikes.

Anyways, this week has been a little crazy because Addison came home from school with Pink Eye. We went down to my folks house after school on Monday so I could shoot my brother's family pictures. My parents live where it is rural farm land and Addy loves to get to play outside. Once I finished up shooting, I noticed her eye was red and bloodshot. I thought it was definitely weird but maybe because her allergies started to flare up since was playing outside. The redness didn't go away and when she woke up on Tuesday, both eyes were red and one was crusty. Poor babe! Off to the pedi we went and she confirmed it was Pink Eye!

She has spent her days curled up in her robe and catching up on all the Christmas specials I have DVR'd for her. I feel so bad she has missed most of this week because they have had fun things to do every day since it's the week before Christmas vacation so today we are going to decorate our Ginger Bread house!

When Jason and I got married, I only knew how to cook one thing - Taco Pie. Sounds appetizing, huh? I will never forget Jason's face when he saw it for the first time. Take a little looksie for yourself-

Don't be tricked by the way it looks - it is DEELISH.

When we first got together, Jason was a very picky eater. I have plenty of stories of him saying that he didn't like what I was eating (i.e. Funyuns YUM) and then sheepishly asking for some and admitting he liked it. Knowing this fact about him, how sweet is he that he dug into the only meal I knew how to make him?! We ate this a lot when we first got married and since my recipe collection has since grown by leaps and bounds, Taco Pie has fallen out of the Lacy dinner rotation. My sweet hubby had a craving for it and requested it for dinner the other night. I had forgotten how GOOD it is. So yummy and filling! Great for a cold winter night.

My hubby likes to wrap his in a tortilla and eat it burrito style. He's so cute.

Annnnnd, I can't post without a picture of this handsome little dude! He won't sit still for a picture anymore so I have to chase him down. I love this little man!

Hope you all have had a great week! :]

Ornament Exchange Reveal!

I was so excited to participate in Karen's and Shannon's ornament exchange!
Getting to "meet" other bloggers from across the country was a lot of fun. I love getting to see new blogs and this was a great way to do it!

I was paired up with Molly from Kansas! I love, LOVE the ornament she sent me. So pretty and festive and SPARKLY!! :]

Thank you so much, Molly! It was great to meet a new bloggy friend and swap ornaments!

Thanks again Shannon & Karen for putting this together! What fun!

Christmas Card Carousel!

I am participating in Faith's Christmas Card Carousel!

I absolutely love the wording that is on our card. This is the first year that I have put wording on our card that struck a cord deep in my heart. Over this last year, Jason and I have really worked on putting our faith in the Lord. We have had some times this year where we would look at each other and not know how we were gonna get through. If it were left up to us, we would not have gotten through. Left on our own, we fail miserably time and time again.

It is ONLY for the GRACE that our Lord has shown us that we are where we are.

Like our card says, We are wishing you the gift of FAITH, the blessing of HOPE, and the peace of His LOVE at Christmas and always.

Merry Christmas!

Drew's Dedication!

Last Sunday, Drew was dedicated at our church. It was such a great service! Pastor Greg had each family introduce themselves and then he prayed a prayer over all the families.

Jason introducing the Lacy fam.

Pastor Greg's sweet prayer. Can you just take a second and look at Addison's hands? How adorable is that?! I love that little girl so stinkin' much!

I was really nervous that Drew would be a wild man on stage because behind stage, he was NUTS. I prayed a quick prayer that he would be calm on stage and he was perfect! I think all the bright lights helped as well. :]

When Jason picked Drew up from the nursery today, we had a lovely little gift waiting for us! They gave Drew this onesie, diaper bag tag, and personalized sippie labels! What a sweet gift!

I am so thankful that we have been blessed with PVC!

These children are rooted and established in love; we pray that they may have power with all the
saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ towards them, and to
know this love that surpasses knowledge, that they may be filled to the measure of the fullness of
God.

Verrado Tree Lighting!

Saturday night, we loaded the kiddos up and went to see Verrado's tree lighting. Apparently, this is the 7th year in a row that they have done it! I had no idea! So glad we went - it was adorable! They turned the square into a little holiday village where you could play in snow and make smores!

We meet our friends, the Zaklikowski's there. I love getting to spend time with them! They are such fun friends!

Viva la Muffin Top!

Over the weekend, Jason had a guys night. He so graciously kept the kiddos Friday night so I could play Bunco with my girlfriends. He needed some guy time! I was actually kind of excited he wanted to have some guy time because I wanted to get into my comfy sweats, burying myself deep down into our amazing bed and watch Eat Pray Love.

I loved the movie. I loved so many parts. It turns out that eating, praying, and loving are 3 of my most favoritest things in the whole world so, duh, I loved it.

This scene really stuck out to me. I am over beating myself up. The holidays are coming up and you know what? I am going to E-N-J-O-Y them. I refuse to be a woman who frets over calories and fat grams. Like Liz says in the clip, I have no interest in being obese. I love to workout and its my release. But if I skip a day or two at the gym, I will be ok. It is all about healthy balance.

I am going to enjoy this holiday season. I am also enjoying a slice of pizza as I type this.

Viva la Muffin Top!

Deckin' the Halls!

Last weekend, we took advantage of being home together and decorated for Christmas. I was a little sad to put away all my harvest decorations. I love fall and knowing that the holiday season is upon us. All my sadness went away QUICKLY once we started decorating! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas. I love the anticipation of getting to celebrate our Savior's birth. This year, we have made a big effort to show Addison the importance of why we celebrate Christmas!

Drew & me with one of his first Christmas ornaments from last year.

Addy had to put them up high because little brother likes to swipe them!

Doing the star with Daddy.

After we decorate, we have a tradition of going outside and looking at our tree through the window!

Addy wanted to pose with our beautiful tree!

Of course, I had to make the babes take a picture in front of the tree.

Our sweet angel girl.

Drew was officially over taking pictures but since I am a meaaaan mommy, I made him sit with me!

Annnd, sit with Daddy.

I love my goofs!

Have you decked your halls yet? Let me know if you have - I'd love to check them out! :]
