Over the weekend, we picked up 2 pounds of strawberries for $2.50! That is a great deal. I LOVE that strawberries are in season! Since we had so many, I decided to make some strawberry bread for the first time.
I followed this recipe but omitted the pecans & added 4 teaspoons of brown sugar. I read that brown sugar helps keep it moist!
It made more than my loaf pan could hold so I made a 1/2 dozen muffins as well. I just baked them for 20 minutes & let the bread continue to bake. They were perfect in muffin form as well!
