Healthy Train Tuesday & Blogger Biggest Loser!

 Hey friends! I am linking up with Sam for another edition of HTT & Becky at The Java Mama for Blogger Biggest Loser!

This Week's Loss3 pounds


Pounds to goal weight: 30 

What I craved this week: Fried chicken. I walked out of the grocery store the other day & I could smell KFC & it smelled so good. Fried chicken has always been something that I like but not like omg, I need it now but dang, I wanted it the second I smelled it. I held strong.

What I noticed was different about my body: I am feeling less puffy. Clothes that used to pinch are fitting normally now. 

Workouts I did this week: I ran 3 times this week. 
Thursday -- 4.49 miles
Friday -- 2.22 miles
Monday -- 4.60 miles

Personal Goal for this week: Stay OP with WW & Drink 100 oz H2o a day.

What I’m looking forward to: Continuing to enjoy this gorgeous weather & running the Color Run this weekend!

Frame of Mind: I am in a good place. I am seeing the results of my running & staying OP. My body feels lighter & stronger. 

I am going to add a few new questions! 

New recipes of the week

We tried a few new things this week. I menu plan over the weekend & then pin my recipes to my "skinny recipe" board on Pinterest & write our menu down in my EC planner. Its one way to keep me on track. 

First, we tried Skinnytaste's CP stuffed peppers. They were ok. I have tried a handful of stuffed pepper recipes & I am usually underwhelmed. Stuffed peppers are just not my jam & that's ok. 



Thursday night, I roasted some zucchini & carrots & I fell in love. I usually HATE carrots. They make me gag & I can not choke them down. Gross, gross, gross! Well, guess what? If you cut them up, toss them in a little EVOO, sprinkle with s&p, & roast them - they turn out AMAZING. They taste like sweet potato fries which I LOVE. Yum, yum!


Sunday's lunch - Black bean burger (3pts) & roasted carrots (2pts)
Sunday night, we made Hungry Girl's cheese taquitos. These were a hit! Super easy & yummy! Definitely adding these to the line up of dinner ideas.

Favorite song of the week:

I am really in love with this album. It makes me wonder if I missed my calling of being a raver. Kidding, of course. 

My true calling was to be a princess. Dang you, Kate Middleton.

Have fun at the Color Run! It's a total blast. I really like the Favorite Song/Recipe Questions. I doubt I have a favorite recipe, but you know I'll have a favorite song!

And most importantly, WAY TO GO on the weight loss!!

Congrats on the loss! That is so awesome. And good job not giving in to your cravings. I really wanted some fried chicken this week too but I baked some with panko breadcrumbs and it was just as crunchy and did the trick :)

Stopping in from the Java Mama Biggest Loser Link Up. Way to go on your 3 lb loss. Thats great! I also live in AZ and a few months ago was planning on doing the Color Run, but as time got closer, I didnt register and just wasnt ready for it. Maybe next year. Cant wait to see pictures from the run! Have fun!
