Weekend Update: Hiking Edition.

Happy Monday! I have all my favorite people home with me today in honor of MLK Day.  We are cleaning & then heading down to my grandparents farm for a "leaf party". My mom wants us to build big piles of leaves & then jump in them. Should be a good time!

Addy had Friday off of school & my sneaky husband took the day off so he could spend it with us! We decided to hike the little mountain that is next to our house since it was so nice out!

It was a nice little hike. The kiddos & Crosby really loved it. J & I did too. :] It's so nice to get out in the  fresh air this time of year. I want to soak it up as much as we can before it gets nasty out. Hiking in 110 heat is a no no. 

Saturday we went to a bday party for our sweet little friend, Charli. Her momma did a great job making it a pony party! I loved all the bright colors but failed to take any pictures. Whoops. 

Sunday was up bright & early for church. The PF Changs Rock-n-Roll Marathon was in Phoenix yesterday so I was stalking the instagram feed, wishing I was down there. I am going to run the half next year. Yay!

After church, lunch, & a failed nap time (why don't 3 year olds like to sleep?!), we decided to hit up another trail in our neighborhood. Addy made a list of things we wanted to find on our hike. She even illustrated it. She is so cute!

We decided to do the 1.3 mile trail but didn't make it quite all the way back in. We were hiking into the mountains & the sun was starting to set. We hiked about a mile in & mile out. 

We saw a fluffy tailed fox! I didn't take a picture of him but he was cute! 

We also saw a heart cactus. How fun is that?! Love from AZ!

Once we got home, we made dinner & vegged. I caught up on Pretty Little Liars. I saw a bunch of ladies talking about it on Twitter so I decided to check it out & now I am obsessed. Anyone else watch?  I just started season 2 last night.
